Origin of the stampset
As usual, the World Cup Championship is held every four years. In the year of 2006, the 18th World Cup is about to take place in Germany in a month from 9th June to 9th July. Thirty-two excellent national football clubs are from all continents, and divided into 8 competition groups.
To welcome this world sport event, on 1st May 2006, the Ministry of Post and Telematics (MPT) issued the stampset “2006 World Cup Championship”, included 2 samples, 01 value of VND 800, and VND 10,000.
The stampset is decorated generally, symbolically, manifesting eventful atmosphere in football matches that have been drawing attentions from millions of football fans all around the world.
