The Postal Administrations of Austria and Hong Kong release a joint issue on 22 August which incorporates "crystal fabrics", the first time such a technique has been used in the design of stamps.
With the theme of the issue being fireworks, the stamps have been crystal clad, producing a glitter effect which really brings them to life. The two stamps depict fireworks displays taking place in two distinctive landmarks from each country - Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong and the Vienna Prater in Austria.
